The desire for his co-worker’s mobile phone is believed to motivated a labourer to murder the co-worker at Paroda on March 13.

Acting swiftly, Quepem police arrested the accused, Pradip Jadhav, in Uttar Pradesh on Wednesday.

According to sources, Quepem police swung into action after the murder was reported and suspected the involvement of a labourer, Pradip Jadhav, a native from Uttar Pradesh, who was working along with the deceased Arjun Sharma (28).

As Jadhav was missing from the work site, police began tracking his movements and after getting reliable information that the accused had fled to Uttar Pradesh, a police team led by PSI Shivram Gavas proceeded to Uttar Pradesh where they managed to nab the accused Pradip Jadhav at a bus stop located close to his native place at Khushinagar.
