Goemkar, Ek Pavl Ekcharachem along with Konkani Bhasha Mandal, Goa, and Ravindra Kelekar Dnyanmandir, Margao, will commemorate Osmitai Dis (Opinion Poll Day) at the Ravindra Bhavan, Margao, on Tuesday, 16 January.
Besides these organizations, students from Shri Nirakar Vidyalaya Mashem, The New Educational Institute, Curchorem, and Sarvodaya High School, Curchorem, will participate in the event.
To mark the occasion, a state-level quiz on the theme “Goa” is organized for high school students, wherein over 100 school teams from the State will participate. Besides the quiz, all the four participating schools, which are part of the organizing team of the event, will present street plays and folk dances on the theme centered around Goa, informed Anant Agni at a media briefing.
The programme will start at 9:30 am with a quiz competition in the conference hall at the Ravindra Bhavan. Street plays will take place in the open area at 10 am, and folk dances and the concluding ceremony will be held in the main auditorium at 11 am. Fatorda MLA Vijay Sardesai will be the chief guest for the concluding ceremony.
