Rahul Gandhi to hear Cong MLAs, leaders

Promising to give an opportunity to directly convey their views and suggestions to the party high command ahead of the assembly election, Congress Vice-president Rahul Gandhi will give one-to-one audience to party leaders from Goa, including MLAs and senior leaders, on October 20 in Delhi.

Sources in the know said that Rahul Gandhi will devote afternoon time for the state Congress leaders to ascertain their views and suggestions on how the party should go about preparating for the coming election due within five months from now.  
It is learnt that some of the Congress leaders, including MLAs, have already receive a communique from the party high command to attend the one-to-one meeting with Rahul Gandhi.  
The meeting with Rahul Gandhi, sources said, will give an opportunity to a section of party leaders to express their stand in favour of alliance with other secular parties, including the Nationalist Congress Party, Goa Forward Party and unattached member of the Goa Legislative Assembly Babush Monserrate.  
The proposed meeting with Rahul Gandhi comes against the backdrop of the recent visit by All India Congress Committee general secretary 
in-charge of Goa desk Digvijaya Singh.

Usgao bandh total, locals demand arrest of assailants
