The Congress blocks of Tiswadi staged a protest near the Merces Church on Tuesday, to protest against the disqualification of Rahul Gandhi as MP.
Speaking to reporters, GPCC President Amit Patkar said that the BJP is afraid of Rahul Gandhi as he raises the issues affecting the common man like rising prices, unemployment, etc.
“The conspiracy against Gandhi started when he questioned about the relation between Modi and Adani,” he said.
“In Goa too, the government is going against the common man to favour Adani for transportation of coal by way of destroying houses for double tracking, declaring MPT as MPA, etc,” Patkar informed.
“We all need to unite and throw out the undemocratic and corrupt BJP government in 2024 elections,” he added.
Congress leader Elvis Gomes, St Cruz Block President John Nazareth, Cumbarjua Block President Vishal Volvoikar, St Andre Block President Manoj Palkar, Mahila President Beena Naik, GPCC General Secretary Varad Mardolkar, Youth President Joel Andrade, and others were present.
