Railway Board approves special trains between Vasco, Velankanni

The Railway Board has approved the operation of special trains between Vasco and Velankanni to facilitate pilgrims travelling to attend the annual feast of “Our Lady of Good Health” at Velankanni from Vasco from August 27.

Accordingly Train No 07361 Vasco–Velankanni Express Special will leave Vasco at 9.55 pm on August 27 and September 1 and will reach Velankanni at 03:45 am on the third day. In the return direction, Train No 07362 Velankanni–Vasco Express Special will leave Velankanni at 11.55 pm on August 29 and September 3 and will reach Vasco at 3 am on the third day.

Train No 07365 / 07366 Vasco-Velankanni-Vasco Train No 07365 Vasco–Velankanni Express Special will leave Vasco at 9.55 pm on Sunday, September 6 and will reach Velankanni at 03:45 am on Tuesday, September 8 in the return direction. Train No 07366 Velankanni–Vasco train will leave Velankanni at 1 am on September 9 and will reach Vasco on Thursday at 3 am on September 10.

En route, both trains will halt at Margao, Sanvordem Curchorem, Kulem, Castle Rock, Londa, Dharwad, SSS Hubballi, SMM Haveri, Davangere, Birur, Arsikere, Tumakuru, SMVT Bengaluru, Krishnarajapuram, Bangarapet, Salem, Namakkal, Karur, Tiruchchirappalli, Thanjavur, Thiruvarur and Nagappattinam stations in both directions.

The special trains will comprise 19 coaches, including 06 Three-Tier AC Coaches, 07 Sleeper Class Coaches, 04 General Second Class Coaches, 01 Second Class Luggage-cum-Brake Van with a Divyangjan-friendly compartment, and 01 Luggage-cum-Guard-cum-Generator Car.

For detailed timings and reservation, passengers may visit the IRCTC website and check the National Train Enquiry System (NTES).
