Ponda social worker and former candidate Rajesh Verenkar joined the Goa Forward party claiming that the newly formed party was the right platform to work for the betterment of Goa.
Crucially, Verenkar, whose father Shivdas Verenkar, was an MLA in the party said that the present leaders and ministers from the MGP were the reason why he hasn’t joined the MGP party.
“The Goa Forward Party has taken care of the Bahujan Samaj which are the true Goans of today. The new generations want that we look toward the future,” Verenkar said.
When asked why he didn’t follow the footsteps of his father into the MGP, Verenkar said that “It is better you ask them,” while referring to how the MGP leaders are interested in saving their ministership rather than the people.
Welcoming him into the party, Vijai Sardesai said that the Goa Forward party has proven itself to be attractive to all communities in Goa and today was welcoming a person from the trading community into the party.
