The North Goa additional Session court has granted anticipatory bail to Activist Rama Kankonkar against whom police have registered a case of alleged molestation, trespass and rioting.
It may be recalled that Aggacaim police have registered offense against Rama Kankonkar over a complaint filed by a lady representative of a company which is constructing an alleged illegal hotel in the Azosim-Mandur village. Bail was granted to Rama on Rs 10,000 bond and some conditions.
Police have registered an offense against 30 villagers including Rama Kankonkar under section 143, 147,447,341, 504, 323, 427, 506 (2), 354 and 509 of IPC.
However Rama has alleged that a false case has been filed against him while he went for inspection on the site along with the panch member in presence of police.
The cases are filled against us so that we are refrained to fight against the illegal contruction but we will continue to fight against the illegal construction, said Rama Kankonkar.
