Rane to be greeted with black flags
BICHOLIM: The members of Mayem Bhuvimochan Nagarik Kruti Samiti (MBNKS) have decided to show black flags to the Leader of the Opposition Pratapsing Rane, if he visits Mayem to campaign during the assembly election.
Addressing a news conference, MBNKS president Kashinath Mayekar stated that MBNKS have decided to protest against Rane's attitude for fooling the people on the custodian issue.
“Rane is misguiding the people by stating that there was no need to make a new act and the existing act passed during his tenure was enough to solve the issue. Rane had made the statement during a seminar of Congress party at Bicholim,” said Mayekar.
Secretary Sakharam Pednekar accused Rane of not solving the issue of Mayem village despite being a chief minister for many years.
Yeshwant Karbhatkar, Harishchandra Chari and Anand Volvoikar were present at the news conference.
