Quepem Mamlatdar Gaonkar had assured to take up the matter with the South Goa Collector. The Mamlatdar immediately wrote to the Collector requesting to provide Aadhar card facilities in the schools for the convenience of parents and schools students.
Speaking to The Goan, Curchorem Block YC Committee president Pushkal Sawant said many locals were complaining about inconvenience they face to make Aadhar cards. “Students have to miss their classes and stand in queue to get these cards. The Mamlatdar has also sent a copy of the memo to the Dy Collector, manager of GEL and has informed that the facility will be made available in some schools in Curchorem and Quepem after Ganesh Chaturthi.”
