Revolutionary Goans, under the "Green Goa" initiative, stepped into the fields for the process of transplanting paddy fields.
For the last three years, they are continuously stepping into the fields to bring the new generation closer to farming. On Sunday, Revolutionary Goans worked in the fields of Corgao and Sangolda.
Chief of Revolutionary Goans Manoj Parab and Sunayana Gawde were seen working in the Corgao fields and Rohan Kalangutakar toiled in Sangolda fields. They were seen taking the advice and bonding with the farmers.
On the occasion, Manoj Parab said, "It's a pleasure to work in the fields, and if Goa needs to be sustainable we need to work in the agriculture sector. Goa has fertile land but this land is getting destroyed by concretization. 'Ek dis xetaan' activity is especially for letting our younger generation get connected to agriculture, it's our way to rebuild Goa".
"Working in the fields is not easy, but our revolutionaries' enthusiasm is making it easier. Revolutionary Goans knows it's now or never, hence we can go to any extent to rebuild Goa," Sunayana Gawde.
"Our government has played enough with our farmers, they have destroyed farming in Goa, but soon Revolutionary Goans are going to change things around, this is just the start of rebuilding farming in Goa," Rohan Kalangutakar.
