RGP dares Reginaldo to prove claim of having moved POGO bill in Assembly

The Revolutionary Goans Party (RGP) has challenged Curtorim MLA Aleixo Reginaldo Lourenco to submit documents to prove his claim that he had moved POGO or any similar bill in the Assembly and that the same was rejected after being called unconstitutional.
Speaking to reporters in Panaji, on Thursday, RGP supremo Manoj Parab informed that during the recent Assembly, MLA Lourenco had said he had moved a private members bill on POGO.
“However, to check the facts, our MLA Viresh Borkar sought information on the same with the Goa Legislative Assembly secretary and it was informed that no such Bill on POGO or any other Bill on similar grounds was submitted at the seventh Assembly,” Parab stated.
“Lourenco should now submit documents to prove that he had indeed submitted such a Bill which was rejected after being called unconstitutional,” he challenged and alleged that Lourenco is opposing the Bill as he wants to protect his migrant voters.
To a question on Aldona MLA Carlos Ferreira not supporting POGO Bill, Parab informed that the Bill is not tabled as yet. “Once the Bill is tabled, it would be known whether MLA Ferreira supports it or not,” he added.
