Revolutionary Goans Party (RGP) MLA Viresh Borkar has denied rumours of differences with party president Manoj Parab.
Speaking to the media on Thursday, Borkar said he and Parab remain united and are working together for the people of Goa under Parab’s leadership.
“There are no differences. We are one team. Our focus is to serve the people of Goa,” he said when asked about reports of a rift between him and Parab.
Borkar also denied claims that he had unfollowed anyone on social media.
His statement comes amid reports over the past two weeks of internal differences within the RGP, reportedly linked to the party leadership distancing itself from one of Borkar’s close associates and supporter, Julius Almeida.
In an official document, the party said Almeida, a panch member of the St Lawrence (Agacaim) panchayat, is not officially part of the party.
Borkar’s statement on Thursday appears to signal an effort to ease tensions within the fledgling party.
