The Revolutionary Goans Party (RGP) has filed a complaint with the Cyber Crime police station at Ribandar over the circulation of a fraudulent video in an attempt to link its party president Manoj Parab’s family with a bank fraud.
In the complaint submitted to Cyber Crime, on Wednesday, RGP General Secretary Vishvesh Naik pointed out that the person who is linked with the fraud, is incorrectly said to be the father of Parab which is not the case.
Later speaking to reporters, Naik said they have provided the names of individuals as well as the links of the social media platforms where the video is being circulated.
Naik then demanded that the Cyber Crime police should investigate the persons behind the circulation of the video and act against them in accordance with the law in force.
A demand has also been made that the video should be taken down by the social media platforms so that its further circulation is stopped.
A large number of RGP supporters remained present at the Cyber Crime police station to show their solidarity with their party chief.
