Taking strong exception to the statement made by MGP President and Power Minister Sudin Dhavalikar that the Revolutionary Goans Party (RGP) is a blot on the society, RGP has vowed to finish MGP in the State.

Addressing reporters in Panaji on Monday, RGP President and founder Manoj Parab informed that they are taking a vow to finish MGP in Goa.

“In a recent interview, Dhavalikar made a statement that the RGP is a blot on the society. We outrightly condemn the statement and today we are taking a vow that we will finish the MGP in Goa,” Parab said.

It may be recalled that Dhavalikar had made the statement on the backdrop of his face-off with RGP leader Vishvesh Naik at the Panchayat Chalo Abhiyan programme in Bandora, wherein he had allegedly threatened Naik.

MLA Borkar also condemned Dhavalikar for his statement as well as threatening their leader Naik during the programme.

“It appears that Dhavalikar seems to be losing his mind as RGP is making inroads into the base of MGP. The youth of RGP have become a threat to the government of which MGP is a part and therefore such utterances are being made against RGP as well as its leaders,” Borkar stated.

“Dhavalikar cannot tolerate the rise of RGP and he is afraid of losing his fiefdom as the people are now realising that they are being used by the Dhavalikars for the personal gains,” Borkar informed.

Speaking on the occasion, Vishvesh Naik narrated the sequence of events that occurred at the Bandora programme and stated that if the ministers are unable to answer the questions of the public, they should hold such programmes privately at their own cost and not at the cost of the exchequer.
