A scooter rider was injured in a road mishap at an accident-prone zone at the underpass in Nagzar-Curti.
According to reports, the incident took place as a minivan was going towards Curti. The scooter rider was injured in the mishap and has been admitted to hospital for treatment.
Concerned about the accident-prone zone, locals gathered and demanded that measures be initiated to curb road mishaps.
They claimed that a car and a two-wheeler had been involved in another mishap at the same site about 15 days ago, causing injuries to the scooter rider.
The locals stated that since speed breakers on the service road were recently removed, vehicles proceed at high speeds from the service road and cannot be seen by vehicles arriving from the underpass.
They have demanded the reinstallation of speed breakers or the deployment of traffic police at the site.
