MARGAO
All roads led to the Raitollem lake at Curtorim on Sunday morning to buy fresh water fish. Hundreds of fish-loving Goans from Curtorim and neighbouring villages, including people from the North, made a beeline to Curtorim to lay their hands on much-sought after fresh-water fish, including tigur, kilapi and daaddie, as the fish from the lake was harvested on Sunday.
Locals said the harvest was moderate. While a big size tigur was available for sale at a price of Rs 200 per piece, mixed variety of fish was sold in bags in the region of Rs 400 and Rs 500 per bag. Sources in the know said that lake fish was also harvested in neighbouring Macazana village. Fresh water fish was also available for sale from other lakes in Curtorim post-Easter Sunday, sources added.
