OLD GOA
Stating that the very root cause of hopelessness is the absence of God in one's life, Auxiliary Bishop of Ranchi Theodore Mascarenhas called upon people to build a relationship with God if they want to be witnesses of hope.
Bishop Mascarenhas was speaking while moderating the annual theological symposium organised by the Pilar Theological College on the theme “Witnesses of Hope” in the auditorium of the Pilar Seminary on January 6.
Those who presented papers included Scholastic Rolson D’Souza (The Road to Emmaus: A Tale of Witnessing Hope), Scholastic Rohan D’Souza (Mary, as Mother of Hope), Scholastic Lelwin Pereira (The Significance of Witnesses and its reference in the Book of Apocalypse) and Scholastic Christopher Joseph (Being Witnesses of Hope to the Dying).
The Symposium was organised under the guidance of Fr Reagan Fernandes, Dean of the Pilar Theological College. Scholastic Salten Monteiro welcomed the gathering, while Scholastic Venito Colaco later proposed the vote of thanks.
