The government is giving a big boost to development in all sectors and the tendency to oppose the development of the village is dangerous, stated Chief Minister Pramod Sawant."Let no one oppose the development that the Government is implementing in the village. Development plans of every unit and basic infrastructural and human development is our resolution," he said, further adding that in the past ten years in rural panchayat divisions like Surla, big steps have been taken in all areas and development works worth Rs one hundred crores was carried out.
A long and wide bridge was completed in two months at a cost of Rs 70 lakhs. It was inaugurated by the Chief Minister.
Sarpanch Vishranti Surlkar, District Member Gopal Surlkar, Bhola Khodginkar, Dinesh Madkaikar, Saima Gawde, Suchita Gaonkar, Shanu Surlkar, Contractor Alex Fernandes, Engineer Gauresh Phulari and others were present.
"The development that was not done in fifty years was completed in ten years. While undertaking self-sufficient projects, great achievements have been made in the fields of agriculture, horticulture, roads, electricity, water and employment," said Sawant appealing to everyone to cooperate in the process of development.
Gopal Surlkar said Chief Minister Sawant was serving the people day and night. He appealed to everyone to support Sawant, who has transformed the village. He said people are opposing him even though he has implemented revolutionary schemes in the constituency and the State.
Sarpanch Surlkar said that the Chief Minister has contributed a lot to the development of the village by completing many works.
A large number of villagers were present on this occasion.
Janata Darbar was held on the street in which Sawant heard public grievances of about 300 people on the bridge on Sunday night itself.
