A Haryana man has accused five employees of a holiday company of cheating him of Rs 88,000 after allegedly luring him with a 10-year package offering 42 days of free stays at three- and four-star hotels worldwide.
Piyush Sachdeva of Rohtak alleged that he was approached by the accused at the office of OsDia De Festa Vacation Pvt Ltd at Hotel Whispering Palms Beach Resort, Candolim, on December 1, 2024. According to the complaint, Sachdeva paid Rs 88,000 by credit card after being promised 42 days of hotel accommodation over 10 years. He alleged that the promised services were never provided and the money was also not refunded.
The accused have been identified as Zikriya Shaikh alias Sunny, Abdul Rahim Mahamad Yusuf Shaikh, Haider, Ankita and Ashish Singh Rajput, all associated with the company. The Candolim police registered an offence under Section 318(4) read with 3(5) of the BNS on September 25. Notices under Section 35 of the BNSS have been issued to all five accused.
