CANACONA
An excise team on Wednesday seized liquor worth Rs 3.78 lakh which was illegally stored in a godown at Gulem in Canacona.
The excise team raided the premises at Gulem and found 637.640 bulk litres of IMFL worth Rs 3,77,800 illegally stored without the licence of the excise department.
The Canacona Excise team, which was headed by Superintendent of Excise Chandranath Dessai, comprised Videsh Dhuri, Madhu Naik, Santosh Gaonkar and Anay Velip.
Dessai informed that the liquor has been seized and a case has been registered against the dealer on charges of illegally storing liquor at an unauthorised godown.
