Rui is Curtorim Dy Sarpanch

MARGAO: Rui Menezes is the new Deputy Sarpanch of the 11-member Curtorim village Panchayat. In the election held on Monday, Rui was declared elected unopposed after the presiding officer received his lone nomination paper for the vacant post.
His candidature was proposed by Simon Barretto and seconded by J Santan Rodrigues.The election was necessitated following the resignation of outgoing deputy sarpanch Rupesh Naik.
