The Rumdamol gram sabha on Sunday has resolved to address the traffic and parking issues on the main village road.
At the meeting chaired by sarpanch Mubeena Fanibandh, the gram sabha further demanded that the panchayat crack a whip on the pan and tobacco shops open late at night in the village.
Gram sabha members pointed out that the main village road is facing traffic congestion and snarls due to vehicular parking on the road. They demanded that the panchayat initiate action to facilitate smooth plying of vehicular traffic on the main road.
Gram sabha members drew the attention of the panchayat to the pan and tobacco stalls open in the village till late hours. They demanded that the panchayat should ensure that all the pan and tobacco shops shut down by 10 pm and initiate action against shops that are open beyond the time.
