The campaign of TMC State convenor and former Zilla Panchayat member Mariano Rodrigues, who is contesting as an independent candidate from Sancoale constituency in the upcoming ZP elections, said his strength lies in the support of the youth and women volunteers.
Speaking to reporters, Rodrigues expressed confidence in securing a clear mandate from the electorate.
“We do not have big politicians campaigning for us. Our real strength lies in our youth, who are leading this campaign from the front. Along with them, several local political figures and panchayat-level workers are supporting us wholeheartedly,” he said.
He said women workers have played a crucial role in energising the campaign.
“Our women volunteers have taken the campaign to a completely different level with their dedication and outreach. Their response and commitment have been phenomenal,” Rodrigues said.
Stating that the public response has been overwhelming, Rodrigues added, “The campaign is progressing on a very positive note. We are getting a massive and encouraging response from the people, with many locals voluntarily joining our door-to-door efforts. We are confident of winning the election, and that too with a comfortable margin.”
