Sardesai claims pharma co apologised to him for job ad

TCP Minister Vijai Sardesai urged the Goan youth to remain alert and vigilant, particularly vis a vis job opportunities in the State.
Speaking to media persons on the sidelines of a function in Margao, the TCP Minister referred to an advertisement placed by pharmaceutical company Cipla wherein vacancies were advertised in the media in a neighbouring State. "I took strong exception to this advertisement and warned Cipla that Goan people have to get jobs," Sardesai remarked.
Pointing out to the government's plan of "reverse migration", the TCP Minister termed the matter pertaining to the job imbroglio of this pharmaceutical company as "serious". "The management of Cipla had come to meet me. I told them to apologise to the people of Goa," Sardesai informed.
Pursuant to this, Sardesai said this company had placed a new advertisement claiming that Goans will be "preferred". "However, I am of the opinion that they have to apologise to Goans," he added, further informing that he will raise this matter with the
Chief Minister.
Sardesai also expressed the government's readiness to effect an "across the board" increase in FAR for all industries. "But, jobs have to come to the Goans," he added, while informing that he had informed the company's management that as a president of Goa Forward party, this policy constitutes the "backbone" of his party's ideology.
It was on this note that the Goa Forward party president Sardesai urged Goan youth to be alert and remain vigilant. "We will have to monitor the situation," remarked the TCP Minister.
Sardesai also claimed that he has noticed instances where spaces reserved for recreation activities in areas like Fatorda have been converted to commercial use. The TCP Minster promised to re-convert such commercial spaces back to their original use --- for recreation purposes.
Sardesai also disclosed the government's decision to sanction a sum of Rs 15 lakh for MARG which is working in the field of road safety.
