Congress Party has failed to acknowledge that Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) upgraded Goa into a model State with development beyond expectation during its 10 years of regime, says a BJP press release.
BJP Goa General Secretary Advocate Narendra Sawaikar said that Congress has turned itself into a complaints box, in a befitting reply to Congress National spokesperson Randeep Singh Surjewala’s unfounded allegations against the BJP.
“The party is playing a perfect role of hiding its involvement in rampant corruption and amassing huge wealth through illegal means during its tenure in Goa. It was only during the BJP that Goa has seen massive development across all the sectors,” said Adv Sawaikar in a press release.
He slammed Surjewala for leveling multiple baseless allegations against Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the central government and BJP government in Goa. “Was he (Surjewala) blindfolded when he travelled from Dabolim airport to Panaji to hold this irrelevant press conference? Did he not witness development all through this stretch? He should visit even the remotest place of Goa and see for himself that neglected by Congress, these places have evolved under BJP regime,” Adv Sawaikar added.
The developmental works in the last 10 years are endless as many projects are in the pipeline. Besides developmental works, BJP has also ensured welfare schemes to all those needy sections of the society while it also provided financial support to COVID-19 orphans and those affected due to Cyclone Tauktae. Setting up new schools, renovation of schools which were abandoned by the Congress, bringing in professional educational institutes, building bridges across the length and breadth of Goa, National highways and internal roads, setting up super specialty hospital and converting small hospitals into district hospitals are just few of a long list of works carried out by the BJP, says the BJP press release.
