Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on Thursday said he had no plans to go in for a Cabinet reshuffle as of now after weeks of speculation over such a development in the aftermath of last month's en-masse defection of eight Opposition Congress MLAs into the ruling party.

Sawant's statement came after his sudden visit to Delhi to meet his party's Central leadership.

There has been intense speculation that Sawant will be rejigging his team, an inevitable corollary to the September 14 defection of the eight MLAs.

In Delhi, Sawant had met Union Home Minister Amit Shah among other top BJP leaders earlier in the week.

He said, Shah has assured him that the issue related to the changes in the rules for securing visas for UK citizens, will be resolved as soon as possible.

"I have personally discussed about the issues related to the problems faced by UK citizens to apply and secure visas to India with the Home Minister," Sawant said, adding that it will be sorted out soon.

The chief minister said, that Shah informed him that there were some technical issues to be dealt with by the External Affairs Ministry which was causing the delay.

"Amit Shah has given an assurance that the matter will be resolved as early as possible,” he said.

Several other issues including the mining block auctions, export duty on iron ore among others also figured in the discussions with Shah, the chief minister said.
