The State government has cleared sanction for sixty posts to staff the new Mopa police station.
"Sanction of the government is hereby accorded for creation of 43 posts for Mopa Airport Police Station and 21 posts for Traffic Cell at Mopa Airport," said a notification issued by the Home department.
Included in the posts created for the police station are one police inspector each and two police sub-inspectors apiece for the police station and the traffic cell.
Three assistant sub-inspectors, 14 head constables, 20 constables and three constable-drivers will also man the Mopa airport police station.
As for the Mopa traffic cell, in addition to the three officers (one PI and two PSIs), it will also have three ASIs, six head constables and nine constables.
