Sawant vows to resolve Sonsodo imbroglio; set up education hub

MARGAO
Hours after he quit the Congress party on Friday morning, ex-Curtorim ZP member Moreno Rebello embraced the BJP at a programme in Curtorim, with Chief Minister Pramod Sawant promising to resolve the Sonsodo imbroglio and to bring an education hub on the Leprosy hospital land.

He blamed the MLAs of Fatorda and Curtorim for the delay in addressing the Sonsodo mess, saying the two MLAs had put spokes in addressing the Sonsodo imbroglio. He also blamed the MLAs for coming in the way of addressing the kabrastan issue that was proposed to be set up at Sonsodo.

The Chief Minister said that promises made by him to renovate and upgrade the Curtorim Primary Health Centre and the education hub wil be set in motion.

Saying only the BJP will rule Goa for the last five years, the Chief Minister wooed the minorities by saying the BJP has never discriminated amongst the people of Goa on the basis of caste and religion.

He urged the people to elect BJP MLA from Curtorim constituency in the coming election and see for themselves the development that will be ushered in the constituency. “People have become MLAs and MPs from this constituency only by saying that they don’t want the BJP. But, development has not taken place in this constituency despite the leaders even being elected the post of Chief Minister,” he said.

Saying that Curtorim has produced many sports persons over the years, the Chief Minister said the government will support football and other sports in the coming years.

Party leaders including Minister Mauvin Godinho, MLA Clafacio Dias, Party president Sadanand Tanavade and others.
