School fete ongoing in Vasco
VASCO: St Andrew Church School, Vasco, on Monday inaugurated its three-day school fete.
Vasco MLA and chairman of MPDA and KTCL Carlos Almeida inaugurated the fete.
Speaking on the occasion, Almeida complimented the students for making and displaying handcrafted items. “Events like annual gathering, sports and fete bring out real and hidden talent of the students,” he said as he complimented the school management for their efforts.
Almeida urged the students to grab all the possible opportunities that come their way in school. “Discipline and respect play key roles in a students life that make them better leaders and citizens of tomorrow,” said Almeida.
Almeida urged the parents and students to help the municipal council in achieving the dream of clean and garbage free Vasco.
School principal Fr Gabriel Coutinho said all the handcrafted items displayed at the stalls are made by the students.
