Science expo ongoing at Harmal
PERNEM: Advising the students to strive to achieve more knowledge by reading other books apart from their academic books, Chief Minister Laxmikant Parsekar on Thursday said reading enriches knowledge and widens sphere of thinking.
He was speaking at the inaugural function of Pernem taluka-level school science exhibition, which was organized by Harmal Panchakroshi HS Harmal in collaboration with Department of Science and Technology, Goa State Council of Science and Technology at Harmal Pernem. The selected projects of 17 schools were included in the exhibition.
Parsekar said exhibitiona are a good medium to bring awareness in regards to issues like garbage management, sustaining environment air and water bodies.
He appreciated the selected students of various high schools and remarked that they are talented students who can become the scientists of the future.
Bhagirath Shetye, deputy director Education, Dipak Parab, MS GSCST, Smita Parsekar, Headmistress, Sudesh Natekar, Principal of late Shri Gopal Parsekar HSS Vinaykumar Verenkar and Rtd teacher were among those who attended the function.
