Scooterist dies in accident at Panzorconne

A scooter rider from Cuncolim, Ulhas Gaonkar, a resident of Gaonkarwaddo-Panzorconne, lost his life on Wednesday morning at Panzorconne after the two-wheeler was hit by a speeding Ertiga car on the NH66. 
Cuncolim police have charged the driver of the Ertiga car, Sanjay Horakeri, a native of Belagavi, Karnataka, for driving his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner, endangering human life. 
The police informed that the accident took place on Wednesday at 6.45 am opposite Sai Krupa Hotel, Panzorconne, when Horakeri, a resident of Gogol-Davorlim, drove his vehicle in a rash and negligent manner, endangering human life, while proceeding from Margao towards Cuncolim on NH 66. The police said the vehicle hit the Honda Activa Scooter, which was crossing the road, and dragged the scooter rider to some distance. 
The rider sustained injuries to his head and other parts of the body and succumbed to his injuries on the way to South Goa District Hospital, Margao.
