No Covid-19 deaths were reported in Goa over the 24-hours of Wednesday-Thursday but new cases saw a significant upsurge busting the 100-mark at 119.
The active cases count climbed to 899 as only 90 recoveries were reported.
Meanwhile, with a weekly positivity rate of 4-odd per cent, Goa ranked sixth among the Indian States over the last week.
The Health Minister also said that the second dry run of vaccination will be held on Friday at six government medical facilities in Valpoi, Candolim, Mapusa, Quepem, Chinchinim and Margao.
Also, two private facilities -- Manipal hospital at Dona Paula and Victor Hospital in Margao -- will also have the vaccine dry run, he added.
“With a successful dry run of the vaccine in Goa & the setting up of a cold chain management facility for COVID vaccine, we are now completely prepared for the vaccination drive,” the health minister tweeted.
