Days after UK’s First Lady Akshata Murty descended at the Benaulim beach, the Second Lady of India Dr Sudesh Dhankhar, wife of India's Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar, along with her family members visited the picturesque Benaulim beach to enjoy water sports activities.
The group led by Dhankhar descended at the Benaulim beach on Monday evening and was seen having a wonderful time in water sports. Dr Dhankhar was spotted on a jets ski posing for a photograph, even as other members of the family took to water sports, including jet-skiing and parasailing.
The family was welcomed by Benaulim Fisherman Pele Fernandes, who displayed the Goan warmth and hospitality by offering tender coconuts.
Sources in the know informed that though the Dhankhar family is putting up in North Goa, Benaulim was recommended for water sports for the family by the government authorities. “I received phone calls from the Tourism department as well as from the South district authorities that the Second Lady of India Dr Dhankhar and her family members are visiting Benaulim for water sports activities. Since I was informed beforehand about the visit, we were well prepared to welcome the VIPs. I hope they had a wonderful time with the water sports activities,” Pele said.
