A case has been registered against a local resident for allegedly assaulting and threatening a security guard while on duty at Nachinola in Bardez.
According to police, the complaint was filed by Abeedali Rustamsab Kanagagiri (43), a security guard employed with Tuff Security Services and presently posted at M/s Acron Unlands, Nachinola. The incident reportedly occurred on February 7 at around 5.30 am.
The complainant alleged that the accused, identified as Sheshlo alias Shashikant, a resident of Nachinola, criminally trespassed into the premises where he was performing security duty in an attempt to assert dominance. The accused allegedly abused the complainant using filthy language and assaulted him with a hard object, causing bodily injuries.
The accused also reportedly issued death threats and damaged the complainant’s mobile phone, resulting in a loss estimated at around Rs 10,000.
Based on the complaint, police have registered a case under Sections 329(3), 352, 351(3), 118(1) and 324(4) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
A notice has been served to the accused and further investigation is underway.
