A 38-year-old security guard died after falling off the second floor of a building under construction in Parra.
According to reports, the incident is reported to have taken place in the wee hours of Monday, while Shivanand Janav was working the night shift as a security guard at the construction site.
When workers arrived at the construction site in the morning, the deceased was found injured under the building after having fallen off the second floor. He was immediately taken to the Mapusa District Hospital, where the doctors declared him dead.
Mapusa police conducted a panchanama and sent the body to GMC Hospital at Bambolim for an autopsy. The police have registered a case of unnatural death in this regard.
