He was one of the founder members of the BJP in the State and was instrumental in setting up the base for BJP in Goa. He had contested from Panaji during the 1989 State Legislative Assembly polls.
Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar has condoled the death. In his message, Parrikar has said, “The demise of Dhond is a great loss to the BJP and the State. He was instrumental in bringing the BJP to power and one of the important persons within Goa BJP to set up its organisational camps. He also contributed immensely to social, industrial and educational sectors and worked hard to protect Goan culture and its ethos.”
The funeral will be held on March 28 at 11 am from Manoshanti Complex, Panaji.
