Seven nabbed for assault
According to Maina-Curtorim police, the incident that occurred on Sunday morning was a result of previous enmity. The police nabbed seven persons - Babajan, Manikant, Anant, Rohit, Sikandar, Shubham and Mehboob, who are suspected to have been involved in the assault.
Further investigations are in progress.
One held for theft of mobile
MARGAO: The Maina-Curtorim police arrested one Gajanan, a resident of Panaji, who is suspected to have been involved in the theft of a moible phone at Curtorim.
According to Maina-Curtorim police, the incident occurred on Sunday, when the suspect was caught red-handed by bystanders while he was in the process of committing the theft. Police said the suspect was in the process of robbing the mobile phone from the dickey of a two-wheeler at Curtorim when he was apprehended by bystanders. He was later handed over to the police.
