The Tourism Department has invited applications from owners of temporary shacks, huts, and cottages located on private properties for fresh registration and renewal of permissions for the tourist season.
It states that registration and renewal fees range from Rs 25,000 to Rs 50,000 depending on the size of the shack, whereas for huts and tents, the fees range from Rs 5,000 for 10 huts to Rs 75,000 for 50 huts.
In addition to these fees, applicants are required to pay applicable GST and a GEL processing fee, with detailed information available on the official website of the department.
“Applications can be submitted at the Registration Facilitation Centres (RFC) located at Paryatan Bhavan, Patto, Panaji, and the South Zone Office, Mathany Saldanha Complex, Margao, from October 9 until April 30, 2025,” it stated.
