Goa Pradesh Congress Committee president Shantaram Naik has termed the blanket ban imposed by Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar on government recruitment is a clear signal that Goa has become bankrupt.
Naik alleged that CM Parrikar, who also holds the finance portfolio, is incapable of handling economy of the state. He pointed out that the government does not have any employment policy for the State. "The BJP government is anti-Goan in its approach and the BJP MLAs are going to get frustrated soon. Parrikar is targeting his allies, more particularly, members of Goa Forward," the GPCC president said.
The government recently addressed a job mela to drive job-seekers away towards private sectors. The government does not have a plan to reserve jobs for Goans, he said.
"Shockingly, Parrikar has now come forward to have a settlement with SEZ entrepreneurs agreeing to give them huge compensation even when they have betrayed Goans," he further argued.
Naik challenged Parrikar to confess before Modi his failure to create jobs.
