The Mapusa Additional District and Sessions Court (Fast Track) has released Shreha Dhargalkar on conditional bail, after she was arrested on charges of hurting religious sentiments by her remarks on social media.
The court released Dhargalkar on a bail of Rs 50,000 and a surety of an identical amount.
The court has, however, imposed conditions on Dhargalkar stating that she should not post any offensive video that hurts the religious sentiments of any religion, and she should appear before the investigating authorities for four days.
Bicholim police had arrested Shreha Dhargalkar under Sections 153, 153A, 295A, 298, 500 and 34 of IPC on charges of hurting religious sentiments by making controversial comments on social media.
Dhargalkar’s bail application was rejected by a court in Bicholim, prompting her to apply for bail before the Mapusa Additional District and Sessions Court.
