Police has deployed a sniffer dog to obtain clues in the attempted burglary at a jewellery shop.

Miscreants made an abortive attempt to burgle a jewellery shop near Old Chowgule college Sunday night.
Sources said the miscreants managed to bend the shutter to effect entry inside. However, they could not effect entry into the shop after they could not open the gate.
The jewellery shop owner was informed of the incident by the Chairman of the Housing Society after it came to light that the shutter was found bent.
The owner along with family members had gone out of station to attend a wedding of their relatives only to return home on Sunday evening.
