When hunger-stricken Alvito
didn’t feast on the chocolate

South Goa district Collector Ruchika Katyal’s gesture of offering a chocolate and water bottle became the talking point at the public hearing and outside. The Collector offered a chocolate after speaker Alvito D’Costa complained that he might faint dure to hunger as he had started his journey to Margao at around 7 am. While the Collector offered a chocolate and water, Alvito later made way for another speaker, leaving the chocolate at the podium.

It’s indeed risky to take to the mike without sanitization in times of Covid pandemic. And, when activist Ramiro Mascarenhas took to the podium, he got the authorities to replace the mike, saying several speakers had used the mike and the same be replaced in the fitness of things. Without wasting much time, the authorities replaced the mike before Ramiro could go to speak.

Don’t eat if we can’t! Cruz Silva
ambushes officials’ lunch break

It was lunch time. When the audience suspected that the officials and the staff were having lunch in turns without giving a lunch break, activist Cruz Silva demanded to know how come the seats on the dais are empty and the officials conspicuous by their absence. He decided to proceed with his speech only after ensuring that all the officials took their seat. That’s not all. Cruz made the experts to introduce themselves and listen to the speakers.

Churchill comes, makes submission
& leaves venue around lunch time

NCP Benaulim MLA Churchill Alemao was the lone MLA seen inside the main venue ground since the beginning. Apparently playing to the gallery when the audience complained of discrepancies, Churchill took to the mike demanding holding of the hearings at village level. He made his formal submission around lunch time and left the venue.
