Singing contest finals today

PANAJI: The finals of the all Goa singing competition 'Mhojo Tallo Aikat' organized by Fr Agnel music and performing arts, Sanguem and Curchorem will be held on November 8. A total of 34 participants in the age group of 15-25 have qualified. Ten solos, three duets and three trios have been selected for the finals to be held at Kala Academy open air auditorium, Panaji at 6.30 pm.

Auditions were held at Agonda (Sept 8), Sanguem (Sept 25), Margao (Oct 2), Penha de Franca (Oct 9) and at Mapusa on October 16.

7th pay: Govt employees threaten strike

The Goa Government Employees Association (GGEA) on Monday served a 21-day strike notice to the State government threatening to strike work if the seventh pay commission recommendations are not implemented quickly.
