Six attack Moira local
MAPUSA: Mapusa Police on Thursday booked six persons on charges of assaulting a resident of Povacaowaddo-Moira.
According to Mapusa Police, Pramila Naik complained that the accused from Moira entered her house and threatened her brother-in-law Sandesh Naik by pointing a knife at him. The accused then assaulted Sandesh and also abused him and damaged his cell phone, she stated.
Police said Sandesh sustained injuries and is undergoing medical treatment at a hospital. All the six accused are absconding.
Police further informed that all the six accused have been booked under Sections 143, 147, 148, 504, 506, 324 and 427 of IPC. Police Constable Suryakant Shetye is investigating the case.
