CANACONA
Six persons, including a toddler, were injured in a road mishap when their car and an interstate truck collided with each other at Dapot-Loliem in the wee hours of Saturday.
The incident took place at about 12.15 am as the injured passengers were returning towards Margao after attending a wedding reception at Loliem village. The passengers who were injured were identified as Jesus Almeida of Curtorim, Velonia Carvalho, Tefla Coutinho, Brylon Coutinho and Tejal Coutinho.
All of them were moved to the Canacona Community Health Centre, Chaudi, from where one person was shifted to the South Goa District Hospital (SGDH) Margao for further treatment.
The driver’s side of the car was badly damaged in the accident.
