Smart Bazaar announces nationwide exchange offer

PANAJI

Smart Bazaar, one of India’s leading value retail chains, has rolled out its largest-ever nationwide initiative, the Smart Bazaar Exchange, aimed at helping families convert unused household items into savings on everyday purchases.

The campaign, centred around the tagline “Purana becho mehenga, aur naya kharido sasta,” allows customers to bring old newspapers, used clothes and old utensils to Smart Bazaar stores in exchange for store coupons worth Rs 100 per kg. The company claims this is among the most competitive exchange values currently available in the market.

According to the retailer, the coupons can be redeemed across a wide range of categories, including groceries, home essentials and fashion. This flexibility is expected to help households manage their monthly budgets more effectively while shopping for daily necessities under one roof.

The offer is valid till March 29, 2026, across participating Smart Bazaar stores nationwide. Commenting on the launch, Damodar Mall, CEO of Smart Bazaar, said the initiative reflects the brand’s continued focus on delivering practical and transparent value to customers.

“With SMART Bazaar Exchange, we are giving customers a simple, transparent way to turn what they no longer need into savings they can use immediately across their monthly essentials,” Mall said. He added that the initiative reinforces Smart Bazaar’s promise of being a trusted value destination for Indian families.

The company stated that the exchange drive is designed to make savings more accessible and convenient, further strengthening its positioning as a one-stop shop for affordable everyday needs across the country.
