MAPUSA: In an attempt to promote the well-being of all humanity, (ritual to appease celestial entities in Hinduism) will be performed near the Bodgeshwar Temple, Mapusa, for six days from March 8 to 13.

“People of all religions and caste will be participating in the ritual,” said Ballar Apte, one of the organisers of the at a news conference organized in Mapusa

The will be held from 8 am to 1 pm and 4 pm to 9 pm daily for the six days.
According to Apte, 17 priests, who are experts in all the four vedas and 10 assistant priests will be required to perform the ritual.
“The pollution level in some states like Delhi and Haryana has had an ill-effect on environment. The will help to control degradation of environment in the country,” Apte said.

The total expense for the ritual is pegged at around Rs 15 lakh.
“Although the Bodgeshwar Temple committee has volunteered to meet much of the expenses, donations from the people are also welcome,” Apte said.
