St Joseph Vas statue at Chinchinim

PANAJI: A statue of Goan saint Joseph Vaz was installed at Chinchinim Church compound. It was inaugurated by Fr Cosme with a prayer service, on January 16. A large gathering of devotees and parishioners were present at the installation.

The planning, design, conceptualization, execution is credited to Marcus De Mello, a self trained artist. Parish priest of Our Lady of Hope parish Fr Jose Costa was the driving force behind the project. He thanked the donors defraying the costs.
