Polling officials and staff fanned out to various polling stations on Saturday along with police personnel. Returning Officer, Uday Prabhudesai said the election authorities have made all arrangements for smooth polling in the two constituencies. Curtorim and Nuvem ZP constituencies have 25 and 20 polling stations respectively. While the battle for the Nuvem seat has turned out a one-on-one fight between Congress candidate and former Nuvem Sarpanch Reuben D'Costa and former Verna panch Mario Pereira, the Curtorim seat is witnessing a triangular contest between Congress nominee Moreno Rebello and Independents, Dionisio Sardinha and Conceissao Dias.
