Repeating his claim that top BJP leaders are involved in running illegal nightclubs in the State, Goa Forward chief Vijai Sardesai has urged Chief Minister Pramod Sawant to introduce a ‘Mhaje Club’ scheme to legalise illegal clubs and pubs, similar to the Mhaje Ghar scheme.
Speaking to the media after launching road hot mixing works in the Pajifond ward of the Fatorda constituency on Friday, Sardesai said such a scheme could be rolled out in the new year, alleging that the BJP is trying to legalise all illegal activities in the State.
“The Chief Minister has taken a major step to regularise illegal houses under the Mhaje Ghar scheme. In the same way, there are many illegal nightclubs and pubs operating across the State, including those run by relatives of top BJP leaders,” he said, adding that the government should openly include these under a ‘Mhaje Club’ or ‘Mhaje Pub’ scheme.
